There are many online archives of newspapers and magazines, such as archive.org. On this page I will show various advertisements by Burroughs that I have found in such online archives. If you find any others in the archives of your own country, then please let me know at mechcalc a t jaapsch d o t net.
These advertisements are shown here for educational and research purposes only, and no copyright infringement is intended. If you are the copyright owner of any image, and object to its presence here, let me know.
The following adverts appeared in The Literary Digest between September 1912 and December 1922.
The following adverts appeared in Nation's Business between January 1919 and June 1964.
In 1912 Burroughs used an advertising campaign in which almost every advert had a different text highlighting some aspect of their machines or thier use, without any illustrations except for a round seal-like logo. The following adverts are taken mostly from Bismarck Daily Tribune (North Dakota), Daily Capital Journal (Oregon), and the El Paso Herald (Texas) newspapers.
